"Egypt Solves Economic Crisis: Replaces Money with 'High-Resolution Photos' You Can Look At But Never Spend"

TOP SECRET / URGENT

The Central Bank of Egypt has issued confidential, urgent instructions to all banks operating in Egypt to immediately suspend deposit and withdrawal services for all customers starting from the beginning of next week.

The instructions state that these services will be replaced by implementing a new banking system based on the principle of (visual interaction with money) only. Under this system, all customer funds—whether in local or foreign currency—will be converted into high-resolution, colored digital images. These images will be stored within a secure application to be launched soon, named "Egyptian Wallet - Look But Don't Touch."

The instructions clarified that the new system aims to:

1. Preserve the value of the national currency by preventing its physical handling, which leads to wear and tear, damage, and loss.

2. Eliminate bank robberies and theft, as there will be no tangible money to steal.

3. Reduce money laundering and the informal economy, with all transactions occurring through monitored digital images.

4. Align with the state's orientation towards a fully digital economy and the application of modern financial technology.

A source at the Central Bank—who requested anonymity—explained that the application will allow users to:

· Browse their money images in various currencies.

· Share these images with other users as a form of digital transfer.

· Print one image per month on A4 photo paper for personal nostalgia, provided the user pays the printing fees and a "Visual Enjoyment Tax" of 10% of the image's value.

It is worth noting that this decision comes amidst successive devaluations of the Egyptian pound and citizens' declining purchasing power, leading to a drop in demand for cash withdrawal and deposit services to record lows.
