Note to our esteemed readers:

The authoritative texts of our writings are those published on the Arabic blog. They are the most accurate and the most expressive of the texts and their inner meanings, because they were written in our mother tongue. Therefore, they are the approved original. The machine translation found in this English version is merely a humble attempt to communicate with the non-Arab or non-Egyptian reader.

And here is the link to the original Arabic blog—approved both literarily and critically—for those who wish to delve deeper into our satirical and fantastical texts:

The Pharaohs’ Summit at the Grand Egyptian Museum

🏺 The Pharaohs’ Summit at the Grand Egyptian Museum (Annotated Literary Translation by the Digital Nadim) In the Grand Conference Hall of the Great Egyptian Museum, a most unlikely quadrilateral summit was convened — gathering King Tutankhamun, King Ahmose I, King Thutmose III, and King Ramses II — to discuss, with the gravity befitting eternity, the deplorable state of Egypt in modern times: the moral decay, the collapse of its ancient grandeur, and the diminished stature of its rulers, now reduced to seeking aid from every foreign patron who passes by with a cheque and a smile. He mourned a generation that walks burdened with inherited resignation, its veins drained of pride and defiance. Then rose Thutmose III, once the architect of Egypt’s imperial zenith, and gazed — in disbelief — upon the docility of her presen...

“In Search of Human Readers: When a Digital Satirist Puts His Audience on Trial”

الترجمة الإنجليزية للنص: A Major Surprise It is with great pleasure that (The Digital Nadim) announces this joyous news to his esteemed, silent ghostly readers: the introduction of a bouquet of unique awards. Namely: · The "First Commenter" Award for his writings. · The "First Follower" Award for his Arabic or English blog. · The "First Lik-er" Award for the same. This comes after more than 800 satirical texts have yielded absolutely no interaction from any of his readers thus far. He even began to entertain the sinister suspicion that he had gone mad and was talking to himself, or that these readers were ghosts, and thus their interactions were spectral, invisible to the likes of us mortals. Accordingly, to dispel these illusions and absurdities, and to confirm that all these readers are indeed human—flesh and blood, with minds, walking the earth as we do—we, The Digital Nadim, have decided to present these golden awards to anyone who can prove the theory...
